Workflow / scope review
Wholesale beanie hats: clarify the sourcing scope
Turn a broad product request into a supplier brief with controlled material, fit, decoration and packing decisions. Our role is independent buyer-side coordination, including possible factory matching and quotation questions.
Submit a sourcing requirement
- Product
- Cuffed, uncuffed, lined or requested construction
- Quantity
- Pieces by color and fit
- Destination
- US delivery location and receiving conditions
Responsibility matrix
Keep three roles explicit
| Buyer inputs | Sourcing support | Supplier-confirmed outputs |
|---|---|---|
| Fiber composition, knit structure and acceptable alternatives | Group mandatory attributes and open questions in the same RFQ revision | Actual yarn specification, construction and any substitution |
| Relaxed measurements, size run and approval owner | Request sample measurement conditions and document fit questions | Proposed dimensions, tolerance, sample charges and sample timing |
| Artwork file, decoration placement and color reference | Compare proof requirements and separate setup from repeat-order charges | Decoration feasibility, revised proof and item-specific sample |
| Piece count, pack ratio and destination | Normalize quotation lines, carton assumptions and delivery exclusions | MOQ by variant, carton dimensions, production assumption and freight scope |
Factory search does not mean a supplier has passed an audit. If an audit, inspection or third-party test is required, identify its scope and responsible party before ordering. Sample coordination also does not approve production automatically; buyer acceptance should name the sample revision and unresolved conditions.
Use the product matrix to identify your starting item. The comparison board helps keep the responses in one purchasing scope.
Pause when the reply leaves these gaps
“Ten packs” is incomplete without pieces per pack. Ask for both total pieces and the color allocation. A sample price cannot stand in for a bulk order unit price.
A yarn brochure or certificate without the proposed style reference is context only. Ask who issued the document, which material or item it covers, and whether its revision matches the quotation.
An undecorated reference cannot resolve embroidery stiffness, cuff placement or sewn-label feel. Record which attributes the sample demonstrates and which must still be checked on the decorated production proposal.
Budget discussion is useful before a real quote exists. A lower target can imply simpler decoration, fewer colorways or different packing, but each alternative must remain visible for the buyer to accept.

Ask for factory quotations on a defined scope
Share material composition, fit, fabric weight if relevant, decoration, pieces by variant, US destination and expected timing. This independent sourcing request does not reserve stock or set a delivery commitment. The buyer brief explains how to record unknowns.
